In response to my little story published by Newswav announcing the official registration of Persatuan Aeroangkasa MYAEROSATU, many readers requested to know the purpose & objectives of this organisation and how they can sign-up as members. Our Secretary Dzul Bahrin Asmawi, Asst Secretary Muzaffar Mohamad & Secretariat staffer, Muhd Danial Dzul are setting-up the website to provide more details for those who are interested. In the meantime, I will continue to provide some information about MYAEROSATU and its principal office bearers.
As a management educator & HRD practitioner, I consider the purpose of aerospace is the advancement of human technology that enables the travel & exploration of the earth's atmosphere and the surrounding space. Professionals have the best opportunity to innovate and get to work with new technologies that can be utilised for spacecraft, aircraft & satellites. They are also responsible for the innovation that can help the world to make a better place to live in. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) are transforming the aerospace industry.
As for the purpose on setting-up of MYAEROSATU, permit me to quote the thought stated by one of our Founding Members, Mr. Mohamed Sallauddin Mohd Shah, former General Manager of Aviation Marketing Development @MAHB, that “Gradually, we will position ourselves as an advisory & advocacy grouping serving multiple key stakeholders in the safeguarding & advancement of Malaysian aerospace industry."
Looking for international benchmarking, I found the United States is the leading country in aerospace industry, boasting a large and prolofic industry, significant military aircraft development, and a high volume of air traffic. The US is a leader in space exploration and has a strong commercial space lunch industry, with companies like SpaceX playing a significant role. While the US leads, other countries like France, Germany, China and Russia also have strong aerospace industries and are emerging as major players. (https://www.quora.com)
In South Asian region, with the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, India cements its status as the fifth-ever great super power. As such, the seismic shift will disrupt the very foundation of the global space order. (https://www.thespacereview.com)
