Global Trajectory:
Industry Growth and Market Projections
The civil aviation
sector continues its robust expansion. The International Air Transport Association
(IATA) projects the airline industry to achieve a historic revenue
milestone of USD1.007 trillion in 2025, a notable increase from an
estimated USD995 billion in 2024 (Appendix
1). Beyond air travel, the broader aerospace manufacturing industry currently boasts
a valuation of USD340 billion. Airport services, encompassing ground handling, landing,
parking, and non-aeronautical revenue contribute USD240 billion. The Maintenance,
Repair & Overhaul (MRO) industry, a critical segment, is valued at USD84
billion and demonstrates a healthy compound annual growth rate of 7%. These
numbers underscore a clear consensus: the aerospace industry is poised for unprecedented
expansion in the coming decade, presenting immense opportunities for nations
capable of strategic engagement.
